Grad School??

I love school. I want to go back.

Alas, grad school is more complicated than that. It's been on my radar since before I completed undergrad, but only recently has it begun to look realistic. After researching innumerable programs & chatting with some in-the-know folks, I found one that looks like the perfect fit: Temple University's MS in Communication Management.

So many variables.

First, I need a second job. And here we have it: the return of bartending! I found a weekend gig at Avenida, a cute Guatemalan restaurant located in the Mt. Airy section of Philly. My training begins this afternoon! I'm equally excited and annoyed that I'll be back behind a bar again. Excited because this means grad school is becoming more of a reality. Annoyed because I wonder if I'll ever get out of this industry...

Second, I need to take GRE's. Does anyone have any recommendations for good study guides? There are just so many, and I must confess that I feel a little bit lost. GRE advice is warmly welcomed.

Third, I need to apply. This means two letters of recommendation, a statement of goals and an updated resume. Strategy, strategy, strategy.

Forth, I need to get accepted. Eek! I should probably have a backup school, but I don't. Depending on how things shape up, I'm hoping to start Fall 2011.

Salud! Margaritas & mojitos for all.
