Today marks the 1 week anniversary of when I became an official permanent employee. Even in a week, every day seems to have taken on more fluidity. It. Feels. Great.
Now I know that this blog has traditionally been filled with the up’s and down’s of job searching in the post-grad life, but at its genesis, I declared this blog journey to holistically cover be(com)ing a young professional. The glorious and sometimes not-so-glorious moments of be(com)ing an adult branch out far beyond the job realm. So let me tell you a story.
My local friends and I have this weekly tradition. We call it The Bachelorette Monday nights at 8pm on ABC. We join together for an evening of snacks, cocktails, sexy man watching and shameless critiquing. The festivities often extend beyond hours of the show to further discuss those controversial topics that carry more emotional value than conversation would permit during a commercial break.
With the entrance of Roberto onto The Bachelorette scene, I sadly declared that I had missed my calling in life. Why Ali? Why not me? Sigh.

But wait. This isn't exactly the time to wallow in self-pity, because a friend notified me this morning of a local open casting call for season 15 of The Bachelor TONIGHT! You can bet that yours truly will be in Center City Philadelphia tonight somewhere between the hours of 7-10pm, trying to find lasting love on national TV.
Wish me luck.
xoxo

OMG, I always wondered what kind of women applied for that show and now i know. Unfortunately, you seem entirely too down-to-earth and not enough bat-shit-crazy to get cast. Good luck though!
ReplyDeleteYou better write a blog update about how the casting went. Maybe Roberto will be the next Bachelor? Then you would know it was meant to be lol
