This Should All Be Over Soon

By March 2009 it had been 3 months of closed doors on the career front, but I figured that this would work itself out once I could fully apply myself mentally. With the weight of my finances off my shoulders, I just knew a PR job would appear soon.

I distinctly remember a conversation I had with my mom in January 2009 when I began looking for a job. She said, "Your roommate was lucky, only searching 4 months. I'll be hoping that you can get a job in that amount of time." Such a statement felt beyond preposterous. And now I chalk that up as one more time that my mom was a wise old sage. (Mom, are you reading this? I meant wise young sage.)

From the time that I began bartending at the nightclub until now has been a whirlwind of events and non-events. Just as a year ago I would have never guessed where I'm currently living & working, I can't begin to imagine where I'll be next year at this time. Living in limbo, as the 20-somethings (un)affectionately call it.

While I look forward to filling in my readers on the minutiae of the nightclub, my job search methods, the scams that I stumbled upon, and all of the other juicy details, I must bring you up to speed on my current predicament: an unofficial job offer from a very popular wireless company.

Scandalous Details. Stay Tuned.
